Miniaturizing Retro Butterick B5813 For Anthea

My dream doll pattern finally showed up in the mail yesterday.  The definitive wiggle dress.  I love the details on this, and the fact that it looks very classy, rather than slutty.  I'm going with the A/B version for Anthea before I bust it out for myself.

Speaks for itself, but here's the link.

1950s Day Dress

I had this fabric I fell in love with in the Fat Quarter Remnant bin at some store, I think it was Walmart of all places (yes we have barely any fabric stores where I am, so I'm stuck with them!) and found two, but it was one piece of darker print than the other, so I wouldn't pass it along to anyone. But still, I really wanted to make this dress and the fade difference doesn't show any where near as much in reality as it does in the photos.  And it's fabulous for what I wanted to do with it.  (a fat quarter is one quarter of a yard of quilting fabric, 18 by 22 inches).

Anthea's Face Up

I had it done a few days ago, and really didn't like it the next morning, so I wiped it and redid it.  I think it's much better this time.

The British Detective Greatcoat

I've been procrastinating on this one for some time now and finally sat down and finished it this week.  Modeling is my cranky looking Raurencio Vincent sculpt head (on a Dragon Doll Uncle body), Toshiaki.  I suppose we'd all be cranky, dressing up in a wool coat and rayon knit scarf on a hot spring day.
